Resources / Rauemi
We’ve put together some easy resources for you to get involved or to encourage others to get involved in Neighbours Day Aotearoa 2021. Here are some posters to print out and pop up at your work, community centre, or school – just click on the images, print them off and share them across your neighbourhood!
Need ideas?
We’ve created a simple little postcard to drop into your neighbours letterbox for Neighbours Day – you could use it to introduce yourself, invite someone to an event, or send it with a gift! In 2021 Neighbours Day Aotearoa is encouraging you to share seeds, plants or even produce with your neighbours!
Growing stronger together
Neighbours Day 2021 is all about growing - growing connections, growing stronger, more resilient neighbourhoods.

Funding Assistance
NORTHLAND BASED AND LOOKING FOR FUNDING?
Maybe you have an idea already, are the type of person who loves organising people, or are new in the ‘hood and want an excuse to say “kia ora”! Whatever the reason, we’d love to hear from you about creating a little more connection with the people where you are. Your neighbours, the farm down the ways, maybe even the postie - we know that the people around you are important.
If you’re interested we’d love to hear from you. By participating, you are agreeing to do something for those people near you. It must:
Be open to anyone who would like to come along
Be somewhere in Northland. From Pouto, to Kaiwaka and Kaitaia and anywhere in between
Be advertised/promoted to people in a useful way. This might be a letterbox drop, on Facebook, or an add in the local paper
Be listed on the Neighbours Day Aotearoa website (we’ll take care of this part with you!)
We’re hoping about 15-20 people will want to join in on whatever you do
You must join the Neighbours Day team for a Zoom meeting, at 4pm on Sunday 21 February
You can’t place a value on the connection between people. But we do want to make sure that people have what they need to bring people together! For the 10 awesome ideas chosen, we’ll provide $500 to help make it happen. We expect that this will be split evenly between costs for your idea (postcards, sausages, decorations - whatever you need to buy), and a fee to you for your time organising.
Interested but don’t have an idea yet? No problem! Get in touch - we can help you think of ideas.
